Bob Bernardoni and Charlotte Doherty, the owners of Roller Coaster Farm, have donated a grass-fed Highland beef to the food pantries in Darlington and Shullsburg. Their donation includes processing at Avon Locker Plant in Darlington.

Roch Ritchie at Avon will donate the cost of storing the meat so food pantry volunteers can pick up what they need for each distribution day and leave the rest in the locker plant freezer.

This donation of high quality beef will help many families in the county who struggle financially. The Lafayette County Food Pantry is located in Darlington at 1033 Main Street. It is open on Tuesday and Thursday every week from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A monthly appointment can be made by calling 776-3500. The Shullsburg Food Pantry is open the third Thursday of the month from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
