Austin C. Baxter, 97, Platteville, died on Sunday, Sept. 21 at Upland Hills Nursing and Rehab in Dodgeville.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Platteville.  Rev. Faustino Ruiz will officiate.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Platteville. Visitation was from 4–7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville. There was a parish rosary at 7 p.m. Friends may also call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Deacon John A. Baxter Scholarship Fund.
