Curtiss L. Place, 56, Stratford, formerly of Hazel Green, died of natural causes on Monday, Dec. 11 in Cresco, Iowa.

Funeral services were at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville. Rev. Peter Ruggles officiated. Visitation was from 4–8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville and from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
