Dennis L. Bartels, 61, of Platteville, died on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at his home.  Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 24, 2011 at the Bible Baptist Church, 940 Walker St., Dubuque, Iowa.  Pastor Larry Stark will officiate.  Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Platteville.  Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Melby-Bendorf Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, or from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.  Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com
