LANCASTER – Diana L. Smith, age 79, of Lancaster formerly of Hemingford, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Lancaster. She was born on February 17, 1947, in Casper, Wyoming, the daughter of Luther and Ethel (Hollis) Davis.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Orchard Manor Nursing Home Chapel with Rick McDermott officiating.  Family and friends may visit on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the nursing home.  Graveside services will take place at Hemingford Cemetery, Hemingford, NE, at a later date.  Kramer-Grau Funeral Homes & Crematory in Lancaster is entrusted with her care.  Bates-Gould Funeral Home in Alliance, NE is assisting the family.
