Stan Koenig, 84, of Madison, Wisconsin, passed away on September 17, 2026, after living with Alzheimer’s disease. He was most recently a resident of Oak Park Place.

A service will be held on Friday, September 25th at 11:00am at Midvale Community Lutheran Church on Tokay Boulevard.

Shortly following the service, family and friends can join us for a celebration of life for light appetizers and drinks at The Seminole in Fitchburg.

A special thank you to UW-Health’s Dr. Przybelski and his team, to the caring staff at Oak Park Place-Nakoma, to Agrace’s Hospice care team and to the UW WRAP Research Group (Wisconsin Registry for Alzheimer’s Prevention).

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Stan’s memory to Wisconsin Public TV, Agrace Foundation or the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Institute Fund (Fund 112582231) through the University of Wisconsin Foundation where Stan participated in a long-term study with the institute to help advance Alzheimer’s research.
