Frances H. “Fran” Matl, age 90, of Shullsburg, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at her home. She was born Jan. 8, 1923 in Athens, the daughter of Louis and Pearl (Sterr) Stuempfl. Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church, 226 West Church Street in Shullsburg with Rev. Jeffrey A. Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Shullsburg at a later date. A visitation will be held Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in Shullsburg and Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
