John E. Burkle, 78, resident of Dubuque, formerly of Dyersville, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013 at ManorCare Health Services, Platteville, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 16, at St. Raphael’s Cathedral, 231 Bluff Street, Dubuque. Entombment will be in Linwood Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by the Dubuque Marine Corps League. A visitation will be held from 5 - 8 p.m., Friday at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 JFK Road where a wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
