Michael D. Grimes, 61, a native of Platteville and a resident of Sulphur, La., passed away on Jan. 19 in a local care facility.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 31 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fox’s Pizza Den, 2590 Maplewood Drive in Sulphur. All are invited to share food, laughter, tears and their remembrances. In accordance with his wishes, Michael’s cremation has been entrusted to Lakeside Funeral Home in Lake Charles, La. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests that donations be made to the Harbor Hospice Foundation in Michael’s honor at P.O. Box 21463, Beaumont, Texas 7720-1463.
