 Mildred P. Jacobson, age 89 years, of Hillsboro, passed away on Monday, Sept, 14, 2015 at Gundersen St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hillsboro, Wisconsin.

She was born on March 9, 1926 to Edward and Mary (Urban) Machovec near Yuba, Wisconsin and graduated from the Hillsboro High School.

Mildred was united in marriage to Donald Jacobson on June 4, 1946.

She was devoted to her family and sustained by her Catholic faith.  She worked for many years at the St. Joseph’s Memorial Hospital & Nursing Home in Hillsboro.  She was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church and Altar Society and volunteered for many functions.

Survivors include her children, Mary (Jerry Boyle) Jacobson, Connie (Steve) Zumstein and Mark Jacobson (Laurel Ware); granddaughters, Allie (Kristopher) Allen, Olivia Ware and Christine Zumstein; great grandchildren, Samantha, Kaitlyn, Madelin, Robbie, Kashton and Owen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; grandson, Brett Zumstein; brother, Wesley Machovec; and sisters, Agnes Lein, Julia Turnipseed and Elsie Sebranek.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Oct. 9, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Hillsboro, with Father Don Bauer officiating.

Memorials are preferred to Gundersen St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hillsboro.  Special thanks go to her neighbors Judy and Sue for all their help and caring, also to Father Bauer for his visits.
