Rachel K. Allgyer, 85, of 25248 Truman Road, Belmont, passed away on Dec. 8, 2017 at her home. The funeral was on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. from the late home, with interment following at the Belmont Amish Cemetery. The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the family.
She was born in Lancaster Co., Pa., on April 28, 1932 to the late David and Lizzie Blank. She was married to Elam Allgyer who died in 2005. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. She is survived by eight children, David (Rebecca Stoltzfus) and Leroy (Rachel Glick), both of Shullsburg; Henry (Arie Stoltzfus) and Benjamin (Lydia Zook) both of Platteville; Malinda (Daniel) Fisher of Rockville, Indiana; Elam (Rebecca Stoltzfus) and Samuel (Annie Esh) both of Darlington; and Rachel, with whom she resided; she is further survived by son-in-law, Samuel (Susie Stoltzfus) Glick of Belmont; 85 grandchildren; 149 great-grandchildren; brother, Amos (Lydia) of Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Glick; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; and siblings, Jacob, Joseph, David, Daniel, Henry, John, Samuel, and Ephraim Blank, Lydia Smucker, Mary Miller, Fannie Stoltzfus, Sarah Esch, Lizzie Zook, and Arie Esch.
