Roseanna Van Matre, age 80 of Darlington, passed away on March 23, 2013 surrounded by her family at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County.  She was the sixth of nine children, born on April 9, 1932 to James and Mary Ann (O’Brien) Holland on the family farm in Kendall Township. Mass of Christian Burial was at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 104 E. Harriet Street, Darlington, with Fr. Randy Budnar officiating. Burial followed at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery. A visitation was held from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 in Darlington, where a Rosary was prayed at 3:00 p.m. Full obituary in the March 28, 2013 issue of the Republican Journal.
