William “Willie” Willborn died peacefully on Aug. 6, 2012, at age 92 at William S. Middleton VA Hospital in Madison. He was born the son of Ernst and Pauline (Sturzenegger) Willborn and was raised in Mineral Point. A funeral service was held Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Blanchardville Lutheran Church, 305 Madison St. in Blanchardville, with Rev. Mark Gruner officiating. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery in Blanchardville with military graveside rites accorded by Dobson-Johnson American Legion Post No. 142 of Blanchardville.
