PERFORMERS OF THE WEEK (Sept. 13-20) -

VOLLEYBALL

Rylie Bausch, middle hitter (Potosi, jr.) - had 11 kills and 6 aces in Potosi's 3-1 win at Cassville last Tuesday, then totaled 15 kills and 7 blocks in the Chieftains' sweep on Highland last Thursday. In her most recent match Bausch had another huge night with 18 kills, 7 blocks and 4 aces as Potosi's defeated in River Ridge in five games, 25-21, 21-25, 25-14, 20-25, 15-11, last night to take sole possession of first place in the Six Rivers West Conference.

Morgan McComish, setter (Shullsburg, sr.) – The Miners' setter distributed 24 assists in a three-game sweep of Benton last Tuesday. Her coach cited her spot-on setting as vital for the Miners' offense, which was struggling at the service line.

Alyssa Iserman, outside hitter (Southwestern, sr.) – formed a dynamic one-two punch with fellow senior Katelyn Hoppman as the Wildcats went 8-0 last week. Iserman floored 19 kills, had 21 digs and served up a team-high 17 aces as Southwestern went 6-0 on Saturday to win the Mayville Invitational. Last Tuesday Iserman contributed 10 kills in the Wildcats’ three-game sweep of Boscobel.

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

Jordan Jenks (Iowa-Grant, fr.) - finished 3rd out of 38 runners (18:39) and lead the I-G/Highland boys to the team title at the Sept. 13 North Crawford Invitational. For a team that was unable to field a full 7-man varsity roster at times in recent years, Tuesday's team victory is a big step for the Iowa-Grant boys' CC team.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

Hannah Robiolio (Darlington, sr.) - finished third overall in 16:39 and placed first individually to lead the Lady Redbirds to the team title at the Dana Waddell Invitational in Marshall last Saturday.

BOYS SOCCER

Gian Pierre Manzette (Richland Center, jr.) - scored twice against Platteville/Lancaster to help the Hornets pull off a 2-2 draw with the league-leading Hillmen, then added another against River Valley as the Richland Center blanked River Valley 5-0 this past Tuesday. The Peruvian exchange student has led the Hornets to a 6-8-1 overall mark and a 5-2-1 second-place tie with Platteville/Lancaster in the Southwest Wisconsin Conference.

GIRLS GOLF

Stephanie Appleby (Southwestern) - finished second overall with a 50 at the Wildcat Triangular held at Cole Acres on Monday, Sept. 19.
