GAME OF THE WEEK (Oct. 26–Nov. 1)

PREP CROSS COUNTRY: WIAA State Championships, Saturday, Oct. 28

     The top runners in the state will converge at The Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids Saturday for the WIAA State Cross Country Championships. The Darlington boys and Lancaster girls will be in action in Division 3, as well as a number of individual runners from the area. The Darlington boys are making their 10th straight trip to state and are seeking a seventh straight Division 3 title. The Lancaster girls are making their fourth trip to state after previously qualifying in 1993, 1995, 2015.

     There are 152 state qualifiers (112 team, 40 individuals) in each Division 2 and 3 race. Below is a list of Saturday’s schedule and each local qualifier in each race.

 

Division 3 Girls, 12:40 p.m.

PREP VOLLEYBALL: WIAA Sectional Playoffs,

     The WIAA volleyball playoffs continue tonight with the sectional semifinal round. Winners of tonight’s matches advance to Saturday’s sectional finals to play for a berth in next week’s WIAA State Tournament.
