PREP FOOTBALL: WIAA Playoffs, Friday, Oct. 20, 7 p.m.

     The road to Camp Randall begins Friday night with Level I playoff football games around the state. 12 area teams earn berth in the 224-team playoff field this fall. Here is the list of this week’s area Level I games.

     The WIAA volleyball playoffs continue tonight with the regional semifinal round. Winners of tonight’s matches advance to Saturday’s regional finals at the home of the highest remaining seed.

     The top two teams at the top five individuals not on a qualifying team at sectionals will advance to next week’s WIAA State Cross Country Championships in Wisconsin Rapids.

WIAA Division 2 Platteville Sectional, Saturday, Girls (11 a.m.), Boys (11:45 a.m.)

     Participating teams include (15): Brodhead/Juda, Dodgeville/Mineral Point, Edgerton, Madison Edgewood, Evansville, McFarland, Monroe, Mount Horeb, Platteville, Prairie du Chien, Richland Center/Ithaca, River Valley, Southwestern/Benton/Cuba City, Turner, Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld.
