The Hillsboro wrestling team took advantage of five forfeit victories to earn a 42–36 SBC dual meet victory over Necedah last Thursday night, the Tigers (2–1) first dual meet win of the year.

Jason Griffiths (106 pounds), Dylan Hill (113), Dakota Wells (120), Nolan Hammer (160) and Braden Voltz (220) earned wins the easy way for Hillsboro, but it was Jacob Urban’s and Sebastion Miller’s on-mat victories that secured the Hillsboro win.

After opening the dual with three straight forfeit victories, Hillsboro wrestlers were pinned in four straight matches between 126 and 145 pounds.

Urban broke up the Necedah run by pinning Hunter Olson in the second period to tie the dual at 24–24.

Nolan Hammer picked up a forfeit at 160, but the Cardinals tied the match again at 30–30 when Zach Olson pinned Reece Hammer.

Miller recorded a third-period pin of Nelson Miller at 182 pounds as the Tigers regained the lead, and after a double forfeit at 195, Voltz received a forfeit at 220 to secure the Hillsboro win.
