Tiger wrestlers finish 11th at Richland Center Invitational
Miller goes 4-1 with five pins

RICHLAND CENTER — The Hillsboro wrestling team placed sent 12 wrestlers to the Richland Center Invitational Saturday and placed 11th out of 16 teams with 81.5 points.

Baraboo won the team title with 307.5 points, ahead of runner-up Marshfield (279.5).

Senior Sebastion Miller (5–5) turned in Hillsboro’s best individual finish, placing fifth at 170 pounds.

Miller went 4–1 with four pins. He pinned Belmont/Platteville’s Grey Genzoli in 49 seconds in the opening round, but suffered a third-period fall to Marshfield’s Mitch Hertel in the quarterfinals.

Miller responded with three straight pins over Boscobel’s Preston Baker, Reedsburg’s Adian Holston and River Ridge’s Tristan White to finish fifth.

Freshman Dakota Wells (5–5) went 2–2 and finished sixth at 113.

Freshman Jacob Urban (5–6) went 3–2 and placed sixth at 160.

Junior Jacob Benish (4–5) went 3–2 and placed sixth at 220.

Freshman Jason Griffiths (5–4) finished seventh at 106 after a 2–2 day.

Sophomore Mitchell Morris (3–7) and freshman Riley Bolden (2–5) each went 1–3 and finished eigth at 120 and 126 respectively.

The Hillsboro wrestlers will return to action Monday at the two-day Bi-State Classic in La Crosse.
