Platteville senior Kaycie Wagner  was recently named small schools honorable mention All-State and first-team All-District by the Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association after helping the Hillmen post a 13–9 overall record and a 5–5 third-place finish in the conference.

Wagner, a four-year varsity player, was Platteville's top pitcher and part-time first baseman. She earned her third first-team all-conference award this spring after leading the Hillmen with a .421 batting average, 32 hits in 76 at-bats, 11 doubles, two triples and one home run, six stolen bases, a .658 slugging percentage and a 1.158 OPS. She also had 16 RBI and 26 runs scored.

In the pitching circle, Wagner posted an 6–8 record with two saves, a 1.67 ERA, 92 strikeouts and 42 walks in 921/3 innings pitched. Wagner will play at Madison College next spring.

Belmont senior Sadie Willborn was named WFCA Smalls Schools All-State first-team and selected as the Division 5 Player of the Year. Mineral Point senior Morgan James and junior Lauren James were selected to the WBCA Small Schools All-State second-team, and Belmont senior Nikki Knebel and Highland junior Grace Pustina earned honorable mention All-State recognition.

Belmont's Jeff Hodgson was named the WFSCA Coach of the Year after leading the Six Rivers Champion Braves (27–1) to the WIAA Division 5 state title with a 7–1 victory over top-seeded and previously Blair–Taylor.
