UW-Whitewater spring graduate

More than 1,300 students walked across University of Wisconsin-Whitewater stages to receive bachelor’s and master’s degrees during spring commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 12, including Kessa Mayne of Lancaster, Communicative Disorders BSE, magna cum laude.
Andrew Burish, a 1982 alumnus, spoke at the undergraduate ceremony. Burish is a managing director at UBS Financial Services and leads The Burish Group, a team of 40 investment professionals. Student speaker Justin Nothem graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business. Nothem created a hot dog sales venture called “College Dogs’’ and participated in an innovative program called Launch Pad that helps students build businesses at Whitewater University Technology Park.
