Destiny Glasson and John Wedig, Falcon Heights, Minn., announce their engagement and upcoming marriage. The wedding ceremony will be on Saturday, Aug. 9 at the Potosi Holiday Gardens in Potosi. Cocktails, dinner and dancing will follow.
Parents of the future bride are Duane Glasson, Platteville, and Liana and Steve Helbing, Belmont. Parents of the future groom are Gerard and Bev Wedig, also of Belmont.
Destiny graduated from Belmont High School in 2007 and from the University of Wisconsin–Platteville with a degree in animal science in 2011. She is currently a third-year veterinary student at the Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.
John graduated from Belmont High School in 2004 and from UW–Platteville with a degree in Criminal Justice in 2008. He is currently a dispatcher for Washington County in Stillwater, Minn.
