Lauren Heiser and James Ertel were married Aug. 13. The bride is the daughter of Tom and Karen Heiser of Platteville. Grandparents of the bride are Melvin and Helen Ingersoll, and Helen Napp, all of Platteville. The groom is the son of Gary and Judith Ertel of Brookfield.
The ceremony and reception were held at the Oconomowoc Lake Club in Oconomowac, with Rev. Richard Johnson presiding 
The maid of honor was Lindsey Heiser, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jenna Ingersoll, cousin of the bride, and Emily Ertel, sister of the groom.
The best man was Zac Mulford, friend of the couple. Groomsmen were Tony Ayala and James Pike and the ushers were Seth Fisher and Max Szudy, all friends of the couple.
Lauren graduated from UW-Stevens Point with a bachelor’s degree and from UW-Milwaukee with a master’s degree in sociology. James is a graduate of UW-Stevens Point with a bachelors degree in history and education. He is employed as a history teacher at Sun Prairie High School. The couple resides in Madison.
