Nicol Schmitt, St. Pete Beach, Fla. and Joshua Bondele, St. Pete Beach, Fla., formerly of South Wayne, were united in marriage Saturday, June 29, 2013. The 5:30 afternoon ceremony took place on a pirate ship—Royal Conquest at John’s Pass Boardwalk by Madeira Beach, Fla. After the ceremony a reception took place on the ship as it sailed the waters.
    The bride is the daughter of Petra Schmitt of Mystic, Conn. The groom is the son of Greg and Karen Bondele of Monroe and Steve and Cindy Bechtolt of South Wayne.
    The couple honeymooned in Costa Rica. They reside in St. Petersburg, Fla.
