Final pesticide training session set in Viroqua

The last private pesticide applicator training session for the season in Viroqua will be held on Thursday, April 3, according to Tim Rehbein, University of Wisconsin-Extension Agriculture Agent for Vernon County. This session will be held in the basement of the Erlandson office building starting at 9:30 a.m.

Individuals who wish to register for the Viroqua class can do so by stopping at the   UW-Extension Office, or at Nelson Agri-Center, Premier Co-op, Koon Kreek Feeds, Ag Consulting and Products, or Chaseburg Farmers Union.

A private pesticide applicator license is required for farmers who purchase, use and apply restricted use pesticides. The registration fee is $30 per private applicator with the certification valid for 5 years.  For more information, contact the  UW-Extension Office at 637-5276.
