Pioneer Ford Sales of Platteville has partnered with Belmont High School to offer Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program in an effort to raise up to $6,000 in funds to benefit the school music program.
The event will take place at the Belmont High School, on Liberty Street, near the football field Tuesday, June 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. as part of Belmont Brass N’ Brats, which will feature the Dubuque Colts Drum & Bugle Corps at 7:30 p.m.
“Our community has been fortunate to have the support of a business leader like Pioneer Ford Sales,” said BHS band director Brian Lehnherr. “We are happy to partner with Pioneer Ford for a program benefiting our school and our kids. … $6,000 is a lot of money that the Belmont High School Music Department could put to great use.”
The Drive One 4 UR School program was developed to help high schools raise money to support their music programs and extracurricular activities. Ford dealerships partner with a local high school to conduct a test drive fundraising event. For every valid test drive completed, Ford Motor Co. will donate $20 to the participating high school, up to $6,000.
“We’ve always believed in our surrounding communities and the best way to demonstrate that is to support it in every way we can, starting with kids,” said Tim Boldt, owner of Pioneer Ford Sales.
Drive One 4 UR School has had thousands of test drives and dollars generated for schools through the program.
