Platteville Community Fund accepting fall grant applications

The Platteville Community Fund is now accepting grant applications for its fall grant cycle.

The application deadline is Sept. 20. Applications must be received in the Janesville office of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, no later than Sept. 20 at 4 p.m. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

The mailing address is Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, Attention: Platteville Community Fund, 26 S. Jackson St,, Janesville, WI 53548.

“We know there are organizations with awesome ideas that, if funded and completed, will make Platteville an even better place to live, work, play, and learn,” said Advisory Board Chair Eileen Nickels. “The Platteville Community Fund Advisory Board completes a detailed analysis of applications, evaluating project scope, need and impact, potential value versus investment, and applicant track record. Our review committee continues to be impressed with the ideas presented and with their potential to transform this community. ”

The Platteville Community Fund seeks projects or programs that address current community needs in the areas of arts, education, environment, historic preservation, and health and human services. Projects or programs provided by charitable non-profits that serve the people within the Platteville School District are eligible for consideration. Requests from individuals are not eligible.

Past grant recipients have included Building Platteville, Inc.; the City of Platteville including the Senior Center and the Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department; Family Advocates, Inc.; Family Connections; the Grant County Historical Society, the Jamison Museum Association, the  Platteville Children’s Chorale; the Platteville Community Arboretum, Inc.; the Platteville Holiday Project, the School District of Platteville; Southwest Wisconsin Technical College; and the UW–Platteville Office of Continuing Education.
