Two teenage girls from Coon Valley were injured June 30 in a one vehicle rollover accident on U.S. Hwy 14 near Saugstad Road in the Town of Christiana.

According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office, at appoximately 10:15 a.m., a vehicle driven by Annika Olson, 16, was traveling west on 14 when she went off the roadway to the right on a curve.

The vehicle traveled down into a ditch and rolled over twice, coming to a rest on its top facing East.

Olson and her passenger, 15-year-old Emma Lee, were transported to Vernon Memorial Hospital by Tri-State Ambulance.

Both were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Assisting at the scene was the Westby Police Department, Westby First Responders, Westby Fire Department, and Tri-State Ambulance service.

The accident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
