Hillsboro man charged with child sex assault

A Hillsboro man has been charged in Juneau County with  multiple charges of child sexual assault.

Mark Anderson Jr., 18, appeared Jan. 12 before Juneau County Circuit Court Judge Paul Curran at the Juneau County Courthouse in Mauston. He is facing charges of first degree sexual assault of a child under the age of 13 and of incest.

Court records show that the charges against Anderson stem from an incident on Nov. 6.

Court records also show that a $10,000 cash bond was set for Anderson. He was ordered  not to have contact with the alleged victim, the victim’s family or their residence. He is also to have no contact with anyone under the age of 18.

Anderson’s initial appearance was scheduled for Jan. 27 before Judge John Roemer. As of press time, Anderson has not posted bond and remains in custody at the Juneau County Jail in Mauston.
