A 44-year-old Platteville man was arrested for felon possession of a firearm and for pointing a firearm at a person Friday night.

Don Franklin was arrested after Platteville police received reports of a family altercation at 455 Broadway around 9 p.mn. and that a group was headed to a second address.

Franklin will have his first appearance in Grant County Circuit Court in Lancaster Thursday at 11 a.m.

•    Two Platteville people were cited with disorderly conduct after police dispatch saw what appeared to be a fight at Second Street and Mineral Street early Sunday.

Ryan Paul Hale, 31, and Laura Constance Heinz, 21, were cited after the fight report around 3 a.m.
