A 30-year-old Platteville man was arrested for allegedly stealing prescription medication.

Herman W. Schwartz III was arrested on a warrant by Platteville police Saturday afternoon after a person reported the prescription-drug theft.

Theft charges are pending, according to police.

Schwartz pleaded no contest in November to charges of resisting or obstructing an officer and possession of marijuana, and was placed on one year probation, including random drug testing, according to court records.
