A 28-year-old Hazel Green man was arrested after a car theft Sunday morning.

A charge of operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent is pending against Casey Joseph Welter.

A caller reported to Platteville police his car had been stolen and car keys had been taken by a roommate from his house Sunday around 7 a.m. After the car was reported as stolen, it was returned about 45 minutes later, according to police.
