Mayor decries recent city property vandalism

Vandals have damaged city property again, Mayor Paul Corcoran said at a meeting of the Richland Center City Council Tuesday night in the Municipal Building.

Corcoran said the terminal building at the Richland Airport at Sextonville had been broken into and equipment was damaged when water was left to freeze. He said there was “water everywhere”.

It marked the second recent incident. Fire recently damaged the Dr. Kilian Meyer Building at Krouskop Park.

Corcoran called it “unprecedented vandalism to city property”.

He said the terminal building damage was discovered by a city employee who found water running from the building.
