Noise call becomes arrest

A complaint about a verbal altercation turned out to be an arrest on an outstanding warrant.

Michael Ervin Hutchcroft, 32, Lancaster, was arrested at 615 N. Hickory St. Dec. 22.

Police received a call about a verbal altercation around 4 a.m. After police identified the participants, Hutchcroft was determined to have an outstanding warrant on a disorderly conduct charge from earlier this year.

Hutchcroft pleaded no contest to a disorderly conduct charge Jan. 29 and was fined $481, according to court records. Hutchcroft filed a notice to seek post-conviction relief the same day, and a warrant was issued May 10, according to court records.
