Not guilty pleas for meth charges

DODGEVILLE — A Lancaster man pleaded not guilty to seven Iowa County felony charges and one misdemeanor charge.

Brandon A. Loken, 26, faces charges of party to possession of methamphetamine precursors, party to manufacture or delivery of up to 3 grams of amphetamines, party to possession of methamphetamine waste, and three counts of felony bail jumping. The charges were filed Nov. 20 for an incident Sept. 10–11, according to court records.

Loken also faces charges of felony bail jumping and resisting or obstructing an officer for an incident Aug. 20, according to court records. 

Loken is one of four people arrested for methamphetamine-related charges after a Town of Benton house search in November 2014.

Loken was placed on four years probation in Lafayette County Circuit Court Oct. 21 after he pleaded guilty to party to possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, and party to disposal of methamphetamine manufacturing waste. A charge of party to possession of methamphetamine was dismissed in a plea agreement, according to court records.

Christopher K. Bennett, 39, Benton, was sentenced to one year in jail after he pleaded guilty April 6 to party to possession of methamphetamine and party to possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, while a charge of party to disposal of methamphetamine waste was dismissed. 

Haleigh S. Stocks, 24, Highland, was placed on two years probation after she pleaded no contest Feb. 1 to a party to possession of methamphetamine charge. Charges of possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia and party to disposal of methamphetamine manufacturing waste were dismissed.

Stocks’ probation term includes an AODA assessment, random drug testing, no use of alcohol or non-prescription drugs, and staying out of bars.

Stocks also faces Iowa County charges of felony bail jumping and disorderly conduct — domestic abuse for an incident Aug. 20, according to court records. A plea/sentencing hearing is scheduled for June 9.

Garrett S. Lipshutz, 24, Lancaster, was sentenced to three years probation, including a ban on all use of alcohol or controlled substances without a prescription, an AODA assessment, and random drug testing, after he pleaded guilty to one count of party to possession of methamphetamine. Charges of party to possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, and party to disposal of methamphetamine manufacturing waste were dismissed.

Lafayette County deputies and Monroe police executed a search warrant at Bennett’s Town of Benton house Nov. 17, 2014, where products used in the manufacture of methamphetamine were discovered, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office.
