PLATTEVILLE — Platteville police are seeking a man who allegedly tried to pick up a juvenile male in his car Friday afternoon.

The juvenile was walking on North Water Street south of Pitt Street when he was approached by a man who asked if he wanted a ride around 4:40 p.m. The man told the juvenile to get into his car, but the juvenile fled the area, police said.

The man is described as white in his 40s or 50s with short brown hair. He was driving an older small black two-door car with tinted windows and silver rims.
