Suspects sought in two Genoa burglaries

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in solving two burglary cases that occurred in the town of Genoa April 7, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

According to Vernon County Crime Stoppers, two houses in the area of Mound Ridge Road and Cedar Lane were burglarized.

The suspects forced entry to both houses through a door using an axe. Once inside, they ransacked many areas of the homes.

Stolen items included miscellaneous jewelry, a Stihl chainsaw and leaf blower, safe, multiple power tools, Mathews and Bowtech bows, a large Coca-Cola bottle filled with change, Dell and Toshiba laptop computers, a camcorder and a Samsung flat-screen television.
