A 25-year-old Dubuque man is scheduled to be tried on felony drug charges in January.

Jimmane Pittman is charged with possession with intent to deliver up to 200 grams of marijuana, second-offense possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting or obstructing an officer.

Pittman pleaded not guilty to the charges Oct. 14. His trial is scheduled for Jan. 11 and 19, with a status conference this morning, according to court records.

Pittman was seen by a Grant County sheriff’s deputy trying to break into the Country Heights Supper Club Oct. 11 around 3:55 a.m.

Platteville police reported that a car at the scene driven by Christine Garrigus, 24, Dubuque, had been involved in a hit-and-run crash in Platteville. Fresh damage was seen on the vehicle, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Garrigus’ car was found to have money, drug paraphernalia and prepackaged marijuana, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Pittman was arrested on Dubuque County felony warrants that included burglary and drunk driving.

Pittman’s attorney, Jeremiah Wolfgang Meyer-O’Day, filed a motion Nov. 3 to have the items from the search suppressed due to an “illegal detention and search,” according to court records.
