An event titled Solving the Climate Challenge, featuring Bob Lindmeier, will be held on Sunday, May 19, 3:00-5:00 p.m., at the Richland Center Community Center, 1050 N. Orange Street, Meeting Room A. The event is being sponsored by Citizens’ Climate Lobby.

Lindmeier is the Chief Meteorologist at WKOW-TV in Madison and has been presenting the weather at the station for the past 40 years.  He uses his many years of experience as an atmospheric scientist who has closely followed the issue of climate change to offer education on: 

• How humans are causing climate change

• The many impacts from climate change locally, nationally, and globally

• The overwhelming consensus in the scientific community

• What you can do to be part of the solution

• The need to put a price on carbon
