There was a bit of reorganization at the Seneca School Board, as two new board members Matt Dahlberg and Kyle Berger, participated in a board meeting for the first time.
The new board members joined incumbent board member Adam Green in winning election in the recent spring election.
Seneca School Board President Shawn Lenzendorf and long-serving school board member Crisse Reynolds did not seek re-election this spring, as their terms expired.
One of the first orders of business was electing a new school board president to replace Lenzendorf. School board member Charles Clark nominated Mark Johnson and Jennifer Aspenson seconded the nomination. Johnson was confirmed on unanimous ballot, on which he abstained from voting.
Green is vice president
Adam Green was nominated to serve as Seneca School Board Vice President by Britany Joy and Jennifer Aspenson seconded the nomination. The board approved Green as the vice-president on a unanimous ballot with Green abstaining.
Green nominated Brittany Joy to continue in the roll of school board clerk, Matt Dahlberg seconded the motion and Joy was confirmed on a unanimous ballot, from which Joy abstained.
Current Seneca School Board Treasurer Charles Clark was nominated by Matt Dahlberg and the nomination was seconded by Green. It passed on a unanimous vote, with Clark abstaining.
The next meeting of the Seneca School Board will be June 16 at 7 p.m. and it will be the last meeting for David Boland to attend as the school district administrator.
