Only two more times remain to see the magical production of “Christmas in the Land of Oz”: Thursday, December 13, and Saturday, December 15, at 7:00 p.m. at the City Auditorium. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors age 65 and over and kids age 12 and under.

Dorothy desperately needs to help Aunt Em and Uncle Henry as they struggle to find water for their cattle, so she finds a way to travel back to Oz to seek help. Once she arrives, she finds that Oz has problems of its own.  The winged monkeys are stealing Christmas decorations and cookies and King Scarecrow, King Tin Woodman and King Cowardly Lion are struggling to deal with the monkeys as well as trying to understand the meaning of Christmas. Along the way these three learn some very valuable lessons of their own. 

Come see the down-home simplicity of the Kansas set, as well as the lovely glittery backdrop of the Oz throne room that changes colors to help set scene moods. See the impressive costumes created by Sharon Zales and Laura Merwin, with assistance from Laura’s mother, Susan Price.
