Platteville Municipal Airport will host the grand opening of its updated Terminal and Pilot Planning Area Wednesday, June 15 at 4 p.m.
The $80,000 terminal, financed by airport operating funds — largely airport cropland rental, fuel sales and hangar rentals — was built by Rock Church Construction of Livingston, with assistance from A&A Aviation, Dean Simmons and Jack Momchilovich.
VIP tours will begin at 3 p.m. The Lunch Bus will be on site at 4:30 p.m.
Other projects are in the works funded by the federal government with the state Department of Transportation Aeronautics Bureau. A runway will be resurfaced next year.
