In Gays Mills

The Gays Mills Public Library invites people of all sizes to drop by the library on Saturday, Dec. 12 between 9 a.m. and noon to make some ornaments for your tree. This drop-in program includes projects for the smallest hands including stars wrapped with yarn or bead snowflakes.

Older children can make felt Christmas trees or felt-shaped ornaments with buttons and beads. Children will use basic sewing skills to decorate and sew and stuff their creations. Adults are invited to make some felt birds or gnomes using more advanced sewing and embroidery techniques. All materials will be supplied by the library.

This activity will coincide with Santa’s December 12th visit to the Community Commerce Center that takes place in the Community Room just down the hall from the library. Maybe your older child needs a place to go and something to do, if so, send them down to the library for a little craft time. Perhaps, you as a grown-up need to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the commercial holiday season and make a little decoration of your own.

Drop by the library any time on Saturday, Dec. 12 between 9 am and noon for this free event.

The Gays Mills Public Library is part of the Gays mills community Commerce Center, located at 16381 State Highway 131.
