Fennimore man charged with child sexual assault
Jamie Childs
Jamie John Childs, 26, of Fennimore, is facing three felony counts of first degree child sexual assault-sexual contact with a child under age 13. If convicted each charge carries a sentence of imprisonment not to exceed 60 years.
Fennimore Police Officer Adam Fecht made contact with the parents of the three victims, aged four, five and six, according to a criminal complaint filed in Grant County Circuit Court.
All three victims allegedly informed their parents and Officer Fecht separately that Childs had touched them inappropriately while they were at the home of Childs’ mother, Susan Childs.
The incidents happened on or around July 11, 2019 during a sleep over at the Childs home, according to the criminal complaint. However, each child indicated the contact happening several times. One victim noted it happened “about 10 times.”
“Every day they went to day care,” was another comment in the criminal complaint.

Childs was released on a cash bond of $2,500 on Monday, Aug. 19 and is due in Grant County court Monday, Aug. 26 at 10 a.m.
