Three candidates for Iowa County judge to replace Dyke

Three candidates have announced they are running for the Iowa County Circuit Judge position being vacated by retiring Circuit Judge William Dyke.

Iowa County District Attorney Larry Nelson is a Dodgeville High School graduate and graduate of UW–Whitewater and the UW–Madison Law School. He was assistant district attorney and corporation counsel for Iowa County for 17 years before Gov. James Doyle appointed him district attorney in 2006. 

Dodgeville attorney Timothy Angel is also a Dodgeville High School graduate and graduate of UW–Madison and the University of Nebraska College of Law. He returned to Dodgeville to practice law with his father, Paul, and brother, Matt.

Margaret “Peg” Koehler is a native of Mineral Point and UW–Platteville graduate. She was a teacher for five years, then got her law degree from UW–Madison in 1987. She practiced law in Dodgeville before moving her law practice to Mineral Point.
