Bomb-making materials were discovered in a truck at Kwik Trip in Cuba City on Sunday evening. The business was shut down and employees were moved to the back of the store as emergency personnel responded to the situation.

The Cuba City Police Department, Cuba City Fire Department, Cuba City Area Rescue Squad, Darlington Fire HAZMAT Team, Grant County HAZMAT Team, Jo Davies HAZMAT Team and Grant County Emergency Management were called to the 200 block of Main Street in Cuba City at approximately 4:16 p.m. on Sunday evening for a vehicle containing hazardous materials. The Dane County HAZMAT team responded to diffuse the situation.

The threat to the general public was minimal as a small portion of the gas station parking lot was blocked off and police kept pedestrians a safe distance from the vehicle.
