Spraying happening along area highways

Motorists driving near Marietta Valley early last month may have seen the Crawford County Highway Department spraying herbicide in an attempt to control overgrown brush and weeds.

“We’ve been out spraying for brush control county wide on the state roads currently,” said Todd Meyer of the Crawford County Highway Department. “Spraying is more cost effective and we can get more done in less amount of time.”

The highway department sprays a blend of Garlon mixed with Escort XP Herbicide.
