State trails will be free to use on National Trails Day Saturday and state parks, forests, trails and recreation areas will be free to use Sunday.

No admission stickers will be required on vehicles and trail passes will not be required at Belmont Mound, Governor Dodge, Nelson Dewey, Tower Hill, Wyalusing or Yellowstone Lake state parks, the Pecatonica or Military Ridge state trails in Grant, Lafayette and Iowa counties.

Fishing will also be free on Free Fishing Weekend this weekend. Those fishing will not need a license to fish or an inland trout stamp.
