Two injured in motorcycle versus deer accident

EUGENE & MARRIANNE MLSNA of Pardeeville were seriously injured in a motorcycle vs. deer accident on Highway 11 on Saturday, June 8.

Two people from Pardeeville were seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, June 8 on State Highway 11 in Gratiot Township.
Eugene A. Mlsna, 65, was operating the motorcycle in an eastbound direction on State Highway 11 with Marrianne Mlsna, 65, as his passenger when a deer ran across the roadway in front of them, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s report.
Eugene was unable to avoid striking the deer, and lost control of the motorcycle as a result. Both Eugene and Marrianne were ejected from the motorcycle and received serious injuries.
Eugene was transported to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County, while Marrianne Mlsna was flown via MedFlight to UW Hospital in Madison, said the sheriff’s report.
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department, Gratiot Fire Department, Gratiot First Response, Rural Medical Ambulance and Warren EMS responded to the accident scene.
The 2001 Harley Davidson involved in the crash received moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
