Anthony “Tony” L. Hughes, 85, of Cuba City, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Sunday, July 12, 2026.

A memorial service with military honors accorded will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22 at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City with Deacon Bob Head officiating. A private family burial will be at a later date at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Galena, Ill. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, July 22 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. The Hughes Family extends a special request to those who own classic cars — especially one that Tony restored or worked on — they would be honored if you would consider driving it to the funeral services as a tribute to his passion, craftsmanship, and legacy. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.
