Bill Parkinson, age 80, of Darlington, passed away Monday, August 19, 2013, at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington. He was born August 13, 1933 in Fayette Township in Lafayette County, the son of P. Hampton and Kitty (Finley) Parkinson. Bill lived in Darlington all of his life, where he graduated from Darlington High School in 1951. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 23, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 339 East Louisa Street in Darlington with Rev. Dr. Connie J. Peake officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington. A visitation was held Thursday, August 22, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  in Darlington.
